Corey and Kendall on Chicken Nugget

(Kendall named the horse.)

Kendall is dressed up like Tinkerbell, but she actually called herself a

green princess. Ha.
Me, Jenny, Carla, & Amberee

We dressed up for Chance and Kel's Birthday/Halloween party.
Haha. We played a game like hot potato but with a bag full of clothes. When the music stopped, whoever had the bag had to reach in and put on the clothing item. It was hilarious.

Chance and Kel's 14th Birthday/Halloween Party

Wow. What a year so far! I have 28 kids in my classroom this year and it has been very eventful up to this point. I am finally feeling better about how things are going with them. I guess they are understanding what I expect from them and are now, for the most part, doing it. I know it has been a rough few months. We have been having so many meetings and extra things to worry about which hasn't helped the situation. Hopefully, things will continue to progress and continue to get better and better.

Here are some pictures we took on our trip to East Fork Stables in Jamestown, Tennessee. On the ride, we saw a waterfall and 2 caves. We actually slept in the horse trailer. "Roughing it." Ha. The boys loved building the fire. It was a good time.

The summer is flying by...... Whew! Where is time going?

Chance is at the Bishop Dullingham Football Camp at Anderson University in Indiana. He left on Thursday and will return tomorrow.

Corey stayed at my parents house last night. He went coon hunting with Pa Rick.

Kendall is at home with me. Yesterday, I curled her hair with hot rollers and put a little makeup on her. Which she loved! Then I took her back into the field and took some pictures of her. She did good at first but then whined some about being hot. Here are the results.

More Animal Kingdom Pictures

I took Kendall to Animal Kingdom while we were in Orlando. Chris took the boys to Universal Studios. Here are some highlights.

Kendall was so excited when she saw Mickey Mouse in the parade.

The Bird Show was really neat. The birds would fly right over your heads.

The Festival of the Lion King Show
I really enjoyed this but Kendall was a little afraid. It was dark and the music was booming and scary.

This was Kendall's favorite part of Animal Kingdom. It was of the monkeys in the background. She loved them. By the way, take note of the spritz fan in her hand. $17.00! That's what she asked for so she bought it with her money.

Our hotel gave us leis when we checked in. This is my little Hawaiian girl.

Corey just relaxing in the water.

Kendall and her safety net (a.k.a the horse floatie). She thought she could swim anywhere with it.

BASKETBALL, BASKETBALL, BASKETBALL

We just can't seem to get enough. Ha. No, actually it is allowing us to do somethings we might not normally do.

Corey Brewer Invitational Tournament Nashville, TN- Champions

Sunday, April 3, 2011

Spring Break has officially began!! Thank goodness! *March 3rd: Corey's 12th Birthday *March 5th: 6th grade AAU State Tournament in Lexington, KY The boys' Kentucky Elite team were Champions. *March 18-20: Traveled to St. Louis, Missouri The first night there the boys played the number 1 team in the nation (Indy Hoosiers). We did terrible. Several things could have played a factor: 1. Drove 6 hours 2. Got lost trying to find the gym 3. Thought they were going to be late 4. Not a very safe area But the next day we did much better. They played and defeated the number 7 (Atlanta Knicks) and number 9 team(Memphis Kings) in the nation. Also we played the number 1 team again. We had them down by 3 with 3 minutes to go but our guards turned the ball over several times and we ended up losing by 8 or 10. *Hopefully, I can get some new pictures on here soon. We got a new laptop for christmas and it doesnt have a place for my SD card. I will have to did out the connector cable. Not sure where it is though.

Snow Days update= 18 days!!
Well we have actually been able to complete 3 full weeks of school. Our last day of school for students is June 6. This may change since its on a Monday. We may do a Saturday school day so it will end on a Friday. This is so high school graduation can be held on Friday night.

The boys are both doing well. They are growing so tall. They are both playing on the Kentucky Elite team this year. We have several places to travel. I'm really excited. We are planning to go to St. Louis next weekend, Orlando on Memorial Day weekend, and then back to Virginia Beach in July. We have several other tournaments in between but not as exciting places. Ha!

Kendall is growing up also. She is now about 42 inches tall and about 50 pounds. She talks all the time (not sure who she takes after, ha).

On Feb. 2nd my mom fell on the last step at work and broke both bones in her leg. She has had a rough time with it. She had to have a steal rod put in her bone and a plate in her ankle. She's been off work for 4 weeks now and probably more to come. Her next doctor's appointment is tomorrow so we will find out.

I finally, finally, finally have the taxes finished for the farm and us. That is a major job. It takes lots of time which I have a hard time finding.

Wow, how long has it been? Can you say SNOW DAYS? It seems like that's all we are having lately. We missed the last week before Christmas Break. Which let to having our gift exchange at school when we came back. Of course, all the kids didn't bring their gifts the first day back so we had to have it the second day back. Then we missed for snow again on Friday. So we have already missed 7 days so far. With the weather forecast, it looks like we could miss more this week. I have 2 meetings scheduled where I have to be out on Mon and Fri.

The kids had a really good Christmas. Kendall just enjoyed opening the presents. She wasn't overly excited about what she got just getting to open them was the enjoyment. Her favorite gift was a microphone. Ha. She calls it her "singer". She also liked a powered 3 wheeled scooter. She rides it around in the house and up and down the hallway.

Chance and Corey got several things. Probably they were most excited about their new airsoft rifles. Corey has shot several birds. Mostly, they got clothes and shoes which they both needed. Chance has outgrown about everything from last winter. His sweatshirts didn't fit because they were way to short on the arms. He is wearing a mens XL so they fit are long enough.

I took the boys to the Harlem Wizards game at Adair Co. Middle School the other night. It was very entertaining. They really enjoyed it. I've been in Glasgow all day today with Corey playing a ball tournament. We have to go back tomorrow.
