Open house went ok the other night. About half of my students came which is a little less than normal. Usually about 4 or 5 don't come. I have 26 kids on my roster as of now. That is a huge change from 12 last year. I guess I knew I had it coming. This is the biggest class I have ever had. 22 was the most.
It has been wild around here this week. Monday, I went to Lowes and bought a trailer load of things for the addition. I bought toilets, interior doors, door knobs, bathroom tile, trim and baseboards, mortar, grout, and other things. I was a little embarrassed when it came to check out time. I think I had about 10 carts/trailers/buggies full of things. I knew I wouldn't have time to get these things when school started.
Tuesday, mom and I took the boys school shopping in Bowling Green. They got several things and should be ready for school to start. They both will need some jeans later on but we are having issues finding the right sizes. Corey needs a 12 for length but a 10 in the waist. Chance needs an 18 for length but a 16 in the waist. Kendall went also and did really well.
Wednesday, I did some more running to get things for the house.
Thursday consisted of three trips to town. Corey had an orthodontist appointment. (He has to get a new retainer since his was stepped on-$95.) Then I took Corey back to town to stay all night with his friend. The last trip was to take Chance and Kel to Open House and football practice. I met their teachers. I know Corey's teacher but not Chance's.
Today required only two trips to town. This morning I went to mom's for our yard sale. Then went home and got ready for Corey's baseball game. In between, I took Chance and Kel to football practice and went back to mom's to clean up the yard sale items.
Corey' s team lost 5 to 4. They play again tomorrow at 9:30, 11:00, and 2 or 3 ish. If they win the last game, they will keep playing. It looks like another packed day.
Our house is in the last part of the drywall stage. I should be ready to start priming early next week. Of course, it would fall at the same time as school starting but oh, well. I will get it finished somehow.
Well, I have blabbed on enough.

I can't believe tomorrow night is our open house. I must go to school tomorrow and work to get my room ready. I don't lack much more. I would really like to leave there tom. night and not return until opening day. Those are my plans as of now.
We now have almost all of the house drywalled. It is kind of going slow right now. I told him I really wanted to paint before school started so we will see.
I enrolled Chance and Corey at Adair Co. schools today. Chance will go to ACES and I will find out tomorrow which school they place Corey at.... John Adair or ACES.
The boys have a pool party for their basketball team tonight from 7-9.

Corey's team won again on Wed. night. It was the bottom of the 6th inning. The score was tied 7 to 7. There were 2 outs and one runner on third base for us and Corey was up to bat. He fouled off the first pitch then here comes the second. He hit the ball over near third base and ran hard. He was safe at first and the runner scored to win the game. I was so proud of him. He has practice this morning at 8:00 and then another game tonight at 7:00.

My brother, his fiance, his daughter and son are here for a visit this week. This is the first time I got to see Blake, the new baby. He is cute. He seems so little as compared to Kendall but she was hefty when she was born.
Corey played baseball int he district tournament on Monday night. It was supposed to start at 7 o'clock but didn't until 7:40 then there was a controversy. That led to about 30-45 min. delay. Needless to say, we left the ballpark at 10:45. He plays again tonight, Friday night, and Saturday afternoon.
I took the boys and Brianna, my niece to the fair last night. I think they had a pretty good time. I watched some of the pageant. Kendall stayed with Chris' mom. I debated on whether or not to take herand decided against it. It was just easier.

Kendall had her second set of tubes put in on Wed. She was fussy the rest of the day but was like a different child on Thurs. She is still doing well. She has some drainage which seems like she always has.
We went to Murfreesboro last weekend. The boys team got 2nd place. They got beat pretty bad in the final game but Chance and Kel neither played well. Oh,well, that's how is goes sometimes. It was good to get away for a night anyway. Kendall stayed with my parents.
Today is July 4th. The boys have been waiting for today for a while. They want to shoot off their fireworks. We are actually going over to Jenny, Greg, and Kel's house for a cookout. I took some steaks over earlier and am making a Pepsi cake to take.
The house keeps coming along. It is now under roof with shingles. I drove to the Bernheim Forest area to pick up an outside door for the end of the house. I got it for about 200 dollars cheaper than anywhere else. On Monday, the electrician is coming to do the wiring and the amish are going to put the siding on. Then about middle of the week they will be ready to start on the inside with drywall. The guy that is doing it likes to get things done. I am glad. I want to be able to paint and get it mostly finished by the time I have to go back to school.
