Open house went ok the other night. About half of my students came which is a little less than normal. Usually about 4 or 5 don't come. I have 26 kids on my roster as of now. That is a huge change from 12 last year. I guess I knew I had it coming. This is the biggest class I have ever had. 22 was the most.
It has been wild around here this week. Monday, I went to Lowes and bought a trailer load of things for the addition. I bought toilets, interior doors, door knobs, bathroom tile, trim and baseboards, mortar, grout, and other things. I was a little embarrassed when it came to check out time. I think I had about 10 carts/trailers/buggies full of things. I knew I wouldn't have time to get these things when school started.
Tuesday, mom and I took the boys school shopping in Bowling Green. They got several things and should be ready for school to start. They both will need some jeans later on but we are having issues finding the right sizes. Corey needs a 12 for length but a 10 in the waist. Chance needs an 18 for length but a 16 in the waist. Kendall went also and did really well.
Wednesday, I did some more running to get things for the house.
Thursday consisted of three trips to town. Corey had an orthodontist appointment. (He has to get a new retainer since his was stepped on-$95.) Then I took Corey back to town to stay all night with his friend. The last trip was to take Chance and Kel to Open House and football practice. I met their teachers. I know Corey's teacher but not Chance's.
Today required only two trips to town. This morning I went to mom's for our yard sale. Then went home and got ready for Corey's baseball game. In between, I took Chance and Kel to football practice and went back to mom's to clean up the yard sale items.
Corey' s team lost 5 to 4. They play again tomorrow at 9:30, 11:00, and 2 or 3 ish. If they win the last game, they will keep playing. It looks like another packed day.
Our house is in the last part of the drywall stage. I should be ready to start priming early next week. Of course, it would fall at the same time as school starting but oh, well. I will get it finished somehow.
Well, I have blabbed on enough.
