Yesterday, I took the boys school shopping in E-town. Kendall went to the babysitters. The boys did really well shopping. They had their own money that we kept separate. They both came away with several pairs of shorts and t-shirts. Corey bought 2 pairs of tennis shoes and Chance 1 pair of tennis shoes and 1 pair of flip flops. He then saved some money to order a pair of tennis shoes on ebay (which we did today). I was only able to purchase 4 items while shopping with them so I stopped in C-ville today.
I took Kendall to Dr. Ewing (the ear doctor). She still had fluid on her ears so he suggested putting tubes in her ears. The fluid has been there since March and not gotten any better. He said it could affect her hearing and speech or possibly her balance if it is not taken care of. So, she will have tubes put in on Friday, August 1st. They said the procedure is really simple. She won't even have to have an IV. They will just give her some gas. The procedure will only take around 10-15 minutes to do. I hope everything is as simple as they say. The worst part is that she cannot have anything to eat or drink after midnight. Kendall likes to eat and usually has a bottle or two in the early morning hours. We have to be in C-ville at 5:00 so maybe it won't be too bad on her.
Chris is leaving again tomorrow for the races to Mountaineer Park in West Virginia. He won't be back home until Sunday. He is running Fleeting Frolic on Friday night and Julesnomenclator on Sat. night.
Chris' dad is having surgery tomorrow in Somerset. He is having his other foot worked on. They will basically break it in several places and then rework it so it is straighter. I hope everything goes well for him. He will have a long recovery time which he isn't looking forward to.
The boys were unsure to whether they wanted to play football or not. The sign-ups were last night and they both decided to play. I knew they would. They have enjoyed not having to go to practice all summer but I think they have missed seeing their friends. It was a good break for us all though. I guess I have blabbed enough!
